DEVELOPING FEARURES IN OGHARA

A mare look at the bushes along Oghara express way, one may think that the whole of Oghara are bushes. Now, I want to take you into the town to see what is in there. The major developing features in Oghara are features like the Delta State university teaching hospital, Western  Delta University, Delta State Polytechnic Otefe, Oil and Gas Company {Pan Ocean}. These are the major developing features, although there are still other features, but they are considered as manure features because they are small. But in the course of time, I will made mention of them. Now let’s consider each of these features.

DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL

The Delta state university teaching hospital is located in Oghara Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State. The hospital which is one of the biggest in West Africa, was built during the James Ibori administration, but was unable to be commissioned before the end of his administration.

Following the news that rock the town after the James Ibori administration, was that the succeeding governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan had attempt to move the already built and equipped  teaching hospital to Warri, unaware to the ex-governor Chief James Onanefe Ibori.

According to the scene witness, Mr. Obakpororo Akpokughe who is a Bicycle repairer said, on one faithful day, I was sitting outside my shop, with my customers sitting around me, suddenly, we saw three to four trailers driving toward the direction of the teaching hospital. It was so uncommon that it caught our attention.

After some time the news came to us that those trailers had gone to the teaching hospital to carry the medical equipment away. So we rush down to see for our self, when we get there, it was like a market, the community youth where already there to stop them. But thank God for our ex-governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, who has make it to stay.
